It is not the president's, nor the government's role in our economy to keep the gas prices down. That is a function of the marketplace. If you want to see prices go down, decrease the demand so that the supply will increase.
We see here an illustration of a fundamental problem in America .. the believe that it is the government's role to smooth every bump in the road and straighten every tight curve for all Americans.
