WMD

From Boortz:

The media is fond of reminding us that no Weapons of Mass Destruction were ever found in Iraq. This has been the clarion call of the Democrats for a couple of years now. However, did you know that WMD were found in Iraq? Not just a couple...but lots of them. A mother who lost her son in Iraq was interviewed on Fox News had this to say: "I have seen photos of entire fighter jets buried in the sand. I have seen pictures of entire caches of weapons that just my son's unit would uncover." I wonder why we never hear much about that one? Here's also a nice little list of what was found:

-500 tons...that's right...TONS...make that 1million pounds of yellow cake uranium. It was found at Saddam's nuclear weapons facility (yup...he had one of those too.)

-1.8 tons of partially enriched uranium found at the same place. You know, the stuff you need to make nukes.

-Hidden centrifuge parts and blueprints.

-Two dozen artillery shells loaded with Sarin and mustard gas.

Sounds like WMD to me! You may want to print this off and impress your friends with your knowledge.

How amusing. Clearly Fox News wouldn't have made that their "talking points" for several weeks had it been true. Boortz, being the humble, fact-conscious guy that he is would only go running his mouth if his claims were 100% verified and not some heresay from a conversation which he may or may not have actually have had. I will go out on a limb and say that is a fucking lie unless I see some form of actual "proof". Rather harsh, yes, but I for some reason I find it hard to believe many of these talking heads anymore.

Boortz must be a Limbaugh fan because those "Talking Points" [List of WMD's found in Iraq] came straight, word for word, from the most recent issue of the Limbaugh Letter. But that's not a bad thing. It's not Rush's job to tell anyone what to believe, just point in a given direction.

Cantseefade suffers from what most on the left suffer-- a chronic inability to think critically. The left relies on Talking Heads in anchor chairs to tell them what's going on in the world, and accepting it all as "well and good." But the left fail to realized that everything said and done by every man woman and child is done with motive, be it malignant or benign. We are so discerning about the foods we take into our bodies; is it fresh, is it healthy? But we rarely (I'd venture to say "almost never") take the same precautions about what we take into our minds, i.e.; what we allow ourselves to see and hear. Once seen and heard, it cannot be unseen or unheard, and it shapes what we think, and the way we think. It is just as foolish to believe everything anyone tells you, as it is to eat anything set before you.

As to "proof"... again, why is it "The Straight Scoop"'s responsibility to offer anything more than a finger pointed in the right direction. Cantseefade must learn to look for him/herself. Provided intellectual honesty is employed, answers found on one's own are always superior to the spoon-fed drivel from talking heads. And I include FOX in that assessment. Everyone has motive for everything they say.

The ONLY exception: A mountain climber knows more about climbing mountains that I do, therefore, a certain amount of weight is given to word, based on his experience. But again, that doesn't mean I shouldn't pick up some tips and pointers elsewhere, and weighing it all, come to a balanced assessment on my own.

It is only prudent to put a smidgen of faith in people. To do more is not only unwise, it's down-right stupid.
